Peace Projects 2010 Sixth Grade - Students selected people that worked for peace and used the Internet for research. They wrote a a 1 page paper using AppleWorks. They took that paper and combined it with images from Google Images to create an attractive one page poster paper using Pages.

Ice Storm Movie - Sixth grade tech troops students made a move about the December 2009 ice storm using iMovie and with research and photos from the Internet. This movie is in the QuickTime format.

Ancient Egypt Podcasts - Sixth grade students made podcasts using GarageBand and Internet research and photos.

House Projects - Second grade students create their own multimedia houses using a program called MediaBlender. MediaBlender is similar to HyperStudio. Here are a few finished projects from Mrs Long's class. You can click on doorknobs and light switches and other objects to make your way through each house.

Animation Projects - Students from a variety of different grade levels create their own animation using a program called FlipBoom.

Second grade students studied ocean habitats. The classroom teacher and technology specialist worked with students to create multimedia projects using MediaBlender. MediaBlender is similar to HyperStudio. Click on different objects to reveal facts about that object. Here is one example.

Third grade and fifth grade students used StageCast Creator to explore programming. They designed mazes and a character to move through the maze. Some students create power-ups and a energy variable that decreases with regular movements and increases when they encounter a power-up. Students also used doors to enhance their games.

Third and fifth grade students recreated the classic arcade game Asteroids as they continued to learn about programming. In this project, they learn about automatic rules (not governed by a keystroke) and global variables (used to keep score).
